A cozy Pomodoro focus timer

HearthWork

Focus builds a home.

Every focus session earns coins. Spend them on lamps, sofas and plants, and watch a little pixel-art home come alive, and glow, at night.

Live from the game

From the whole estate to the fireside.

Start with one house. Focus your way to a glass greenhouse and a garden gazebo, under mountains, northern lights and shooting stars. Tap in and every room is lit by the lamps and candles you've earned.

The estate under the northern lights; then the view glides down into the house, where candles, a fireplace and lamps glow in every room.

Watch a day go by

Keep scrolling. The house runs on a real clock.

Sunrise. The fire and candles are still glowing from the night.

The house at sunrise. The house at night, every room lit.

How it works

A simple loop: your attention turns into something you can see.

  1. The focus screen: a 25-minute countdown over the house, with the housemate working alongside you.

    1 Focus

Pick 5 to 60 minutes and start. Your housemate sits down and works with you, and the timer stays on your lock screen.

  2. A session-complete card showing coins earned with bonuses for a 7-day streak and the daily goal.

    2 Earn

Finish and coins fly into your counter, with bonuses for streaks, daily goals and milestones.

  3. The decorate drawer with lamps, furniture and plants from around the world.

    3 Decorate

Lamps, a fireplace, sofas and plants from Mexico to Japan. Unlock once, place as many as you like.

  4. The finished house in the evening with lights glowing in every room.

    4 Come home

As evening falls, every lamp and candle you've earned lights up by itself. Your focus, made visible.

Leave a light on

Every lamp, candle, string light and fireplace is a real light source that glows only in its own room. Go on, flip the switch.

The house at night with the lamps off, lit only by moonlight. The same house with every lamp, candle and the fireplace glowing and flickering.

Four seasons, all year

Cherry petals in spring, fireflies on summer nights, falling leaves, and snow on the roof. The weather comes too: rain, storms, fog and blizzards.

Pets who make it home

A cat by the fire, a corgi up in the attic, a bunny at your feet. Tap one and you get a little heart and a happy purr, woof or squeak. (Try it below.)

Choose your companion

Five cats, two dogs and two bunnies. Name them anything you like. Give one a pat.

  • They have their own day. Naps in sunny spots, a groom on the rug, and curled up at the foot of the bed at night.
  • They tag along. When their person heads out to the greenhouse or the gazebo, they follow.

Places to grow into

Build a glass greenhouse for potted plants from around the world, and a garden gazebo with a fire pit, string lights and visiting squirrels. Your household wanders out to visit.

  • Company while you work. Your housemate reads, cooks, waters the plants and goes to bed at night. When you focus, they focus too.
  • Calm, never guilt. No shaming and no pressure. Miss a day and you just pick up again.
  • On your lock screen. A Live Activity on iPhone and a countdown notification on Android.
  • No account. No sign-up; your home lives on your phone. Streaks, daily goals and a 7-day gift ladder keep it fun.

Questions

When is HearthWork coming out?

Soon, on the Apple App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. It's in testing now.

How does the focus timer work?

Pick a session length (5, 15, 25, 45 or 60 minutes) and start focusing. It works like a Pomodoro timer. When the session finishes you earn coins, with bonuses for streaks and for reaching your daily goal.

What do the coins do?

They unlock decorations for your home: lamps, candles, a fireplace, sofas, beds, desks, rugs and plants from around the world. Unlock an item once and place it as many times as you like. Later you can build a greenhouse and a garden gazebo.

Does the timer show on the lock screen?

Yes. On iPhone the countdown is a Live Activity on the lock screen; on Android it's a countdown notification. Put the phone down and focus.

Which pets can I have?

Cats (ginger, black, tuxedo, grey tabby and calico), dogs (a corgi and a terrier) and bunnies (brown and white). Name them yourself, and tap them for a purr, woof or squeak.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up. Your home and progress are saved on your phone.

Who makes HearthWork?
